Scale Cork is a Scaling Programme for SMEs supported by Cork County Council through its economic development fund and operated by the Rubicon Centre at MTU.
About the course
This programme is open to companies who are willing to scale beyond their current capability and interested in increasing sales, developing exports and building relationship with FDIs in the region.
- Employ more than 10 employees.
- The business is profitable with the potential to increase profitability.
- Has a turnover greater than €500,000.
- Has some IP in the business or potential to exploit same.
- Has the potential to grow sales by 20% per annum.

Course offerings
Programme details
Delivered at the Rubicon Centre with its team of business professionals, selected companies will be supported by:
- Group training, one day a month on modules such as finance, strategy, marketing, sales and innovation.
- Will devise a development plan and in-house innovation management assessment to evaluate the company’s innovation and competitiveness management processes.
- Will develop a Virtual Incubator to facilitate distance learning and virtual networking.
- Will participate in one-to-one mentoring provided by mentors from Irish, British and American industry professionals who will give a wider international perspective to the programme.
