Genesis participants Mary Liddane and James Kehoe of PIA have recently received a “Highly Commended Award” from Intertrade Ireland. PIA’s business plan was reviewed by a panel of independent entrepreneurs, investors and experts as part of Intertrade Ireland’s prestigious Seedcorn competition. PIA is developing a secure data collection and analysis service aimed at policy development in Europe.

Their service is a complete policy management solution for representative organisations, such as the Irish Exporters Association, to increase their influence in Europe.

Commenting on the clarity and due diligence of the plan, feedback received from the judging panel also acknowledged the team’s substantial experience in a niche, lucrative and growing market.

In 2011, PIA were selected as a winner of the coveted “Power of the Network” initiative sponsored by Bord Gáis Networks entitling PIA to membership of IT@Cork. PIA was also nominated as one of the six finalists in the IT@Cork Innovation that Matters competition. PIA’s concept was recognised as an innovative, streamlined process that enables users to both manage and execute more policy assessments in-house producing influential reports based on the European Commission’s requirements.
