As we near the end of MTU’s Innovation and Enterprise Month, we would like to highlight the success of the MTU Prize for Innovation.
This year there was 65 entries, up from 35 entries 2 years ago, from across the University involving over 200 students from both MTU Cork and Kerry campuses.
The 2024 competition yielded a diverse range of business ideas and products. The outright winners were a team of biomedical and mechanical engineers whose device Spinesure is designed to non-invasively detect scoliosis.
Well done to all involved both students and academic supervisors, who are key to the success of the competition. And thanks to our sponsors the Local Enterprise Offices in Cork and Kerry.
