On Saturday the 16th January 2021 the Rubicon Centre commenced its Enterprise Start Programme. There were 10 enthusiastic participants seeking help and support to develop or scale their projects and businesses. Over the five weeks of Saturday morning workshops they covered topics in Business Models, Customers and Sales, Market Research, Finance and Funding and Going Digital – Online.

The Participants also enjoyed guest entrepreneur presentations from

  • Charles Daly, OrthoXel CTO and Co-Founder,
  • Ian O’ Sullivan, Legit Fit COO and Co-Founder,
  • Bernard Yore, Eirdata CEO, 
  • Adrian Casey, Swyft Energy Co-Founder,
  • Olivia Norman Founder Naivilo.

George Bulman, Programme Manager said “By week two the bond was building among the participants and they were sharing knowledge and contact details”. This dynamic helps to mold the group and the engagement with the trainers created energetic workshops.

The group are now ready to present their business ideas on Saturday 27th February 2021 to a distinguished panel comprising of:

Dr Breda Kenny – Head, School of Business, Munster Technological University, Cork

Josette O’Mullane – Innovation & Enterprise Manager, Munster Technological University. Cork

Kevin Curran –   Head of Enterprise, Local Enterprise Office Cork North & West

Paul Healy Rubicon Centre Manager and George Bulman from the Rubicon Centre will also be in attendance in support of the participants.
