MentorsClients at the Rubicon Centre may access a Mentor panel which provides business owners with an advisory service. This process is called Mentoring. The Rubicon Centre uses experienced sector specific entrepreneurs who work with both teams and solo entrepreneurs to meet agreed objectives. The service is provided in conjunction with Enterprise Ireland and the County Enterprise Boards.ÂThe Centre continues to develop the panel looking for mentors who can demonstrate recent business experience, in tandem with the ability to listen, advise and suggest possible outcomes. All mentors providing supports will have first completed a confidentiality agreement and will have completed formal training programmes run by the funding agencies. Mentors receive a small remuneration towards the cost of completing an assignment. Entrepreneurs use this facility following completion of a needs analysis by a member of the Rubicon team and the completion and approval of their mentor application is funded by either Enterprise Ireland or a County Enterprise Board. Talent PoolThe Centre recognises the need for companies to build sustainable teams of experts who can assist the promoter as the business grows, on an "as required" basis. The Rubicon Centre assists companies to achieve this, and in particular in the following areas:• Identification and exploitation of Market Opportunities • Business Planning and Development of Funding proposals • Management and Exploitation of IP • Identification of Key team members • Development of Linkages at a National and International Level • Research and Product Development using the resources of the Third/Fourth Level Institutions • Identification of Public and Private Funding Opportunities The Rubicon Centre uses a talent pool of professionals from all aspects of business and technologies that can assist companies grow to the next stage either for free or on a low cost basis. While we do not recommend any particular service provider over another, we do provide access to a talent pool, allowing the promoter to choose for a number of options. |
